Here at the Newport Community Sailing Center, we're dedicated to making sailing on Lake Memphremagog accessible, safe, and fun for everyone. Our rental and lesson programs are designed to get you out on the water, regardless of your experience level. We've streamlined the process to make it as simple as possible, so you can focus on the joy of sailing.

Here is a simple step-by-step guide to get you sailing with us:

  1. Choose Your Activity: Decide if you want to book a private lesson to learn the ropes or a boat rental to enjoy a day on the lake.

  2. Download and Sign Waiver: For your safety and to protect our organization, all participants must sign a waiver. You can download this from our website and have it ready to go.

  3. Book Your Session: Schedule your lesson or check-out sail through our online booking system. This ensures a staff member and a boat are available for you at your desired time.

  4. Arrive at Prouty Beach: On the day of your booking, please arrive at our Prouty Beach location at your scheduled time. Be sure to bring water, closed-toed shoes, and your signed waiver.

Things to remember for the day:

Water -Sunscreen -Snacks -Closed Toe Shoes - Towel

Participating in our programs offers more than just a day on the water. It's an opportunity to connect with nature, build confidence, and become part of our vibrant local sailing community. By sailing with us, you're also supporting a non-profit organization dedicated to providing safe and welcoming sailing opportunities to the entire community. The skills you learn and the memories you create contribute directly to our mission.

Our success relies on the generosity of our community. If you enjoy your experience, there are two key ways you can help us continue to grow: by becoming a donor and by volunteering. Your donations help us maintain our fleet and offer new programs, while our amazing volunteers are the heart of our operations, helping with everything from instruction to boat maintenance. Together, we can ensure the Newport Community Sailing Center thrives for years to come.
